Popular leveling routes - Guides

Last Update: 2018-11-27

Note:

* Squad leaders (first doll in the squad) and MVPs gets more XP! The bonuses can stack too.
Rotate your lowest level doll to position #1 for balanced XP distribution.

* The following are popular power-leveling stages. You are more than welcome to use other stages.
* I have tried to not include retreat-leveling stages as I feel like I get cancer from them. Perhaps you are not as lazy as I am.

* Some stages with identical field on normal/emergency can be used for slightly different doll levels.
* Some stages will have more than one possible path to clear them.

* All but two stages will have your squads complete the stage on the very first turn. This is crucial, as more turns spent means more MRE consumed.

* Advanced guide with dirty tricks coming up soon when it's ready.

>> Stage --- Recommended Level Range (any doll higher than this will receive XP income penalty)

Squad #1 for the entirety of this guide will be filled with whichever dolls you're trying to level up.

Squad #2 consists of one handgun. You'll see me keep using an extra squad deployed to have an extra movement point available, allowing 1 turn clear of these stages.

You are free to use whichever other dolls for this squad but do remember that squad deploying manpower costs are directly correlated with dummy link numbers.

>> 1-2 --- 01 ~ 14

This is the one of two stages in this page that requires more than one turn to complete.

Spawn #1 at red circle -> Move squad by following red arrow and finish turn at orange circle -> Repeat to green circle -> Finish the stage by moving squad to blue circle and ending turn.

>>> 2-3 --- 15 ~ 29

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at red circle.

Then follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

Left path: 4 enemies // Right path: 3 enemies

Try the path with fewer enemies first. If your main SMG tank is doing fine without getting killed, try a different path with more enemies.

>>> 2-1E --- 15 ~ 35

Same as 2-3.

>>> 3-5 --- 30 ~ 50

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at red circle.

Then follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

Left path: 4 enemies // Right path: 3 enemies

>>> 4-3E --- 45 ~ 74

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at red circle.

Then follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

Try having your squad put in forward positioned spots while running 4-3E.

Instead of typical "F" formation...

DPS // TANK // -----
DPS // TANK // -----
DPS // ------ // -----

Do a forward push of...

----- // DPS // TANK
----- // DPS // TANK
----- // DPS // -----

This way your units will be shooting at the mortar immediately as your own units spawn very close to shooting range.

Some folks have been calling 4-3E as the "Promised Land", a heaven for folks to farm 3 star+ dolls to be converted into cores.

This is a placebo illusion, as it feels like you are getting tons of cores from here due to the stupidly easy enemy squads and very short clear time. In reality 4-3E is an XP farm with an added bonus of cores from time to time, not really primarily a core farm.

Real core farms are 0-2, 0-4, 7-2E, and 10-4E or any other boss battle stages.

>>> 5-4 --- 60 ~ 79

On turn zero, spawn #1 at red circle, follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

Alternatively, try other spawn locations.

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at either of red circle

Then follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

North path: 5 enemies. // South path: 3 enemies.

>>> 5-2E --- 70 ~ 87

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at red circle.

Then follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

Try other paths with fewer enemies when feeling uneasy.

>>> 5-4E --- 60 ~ 92

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at red circle.

Then follow the arrow to blue circle and end turn.

5-4E boss Destroyer has unusually low accuracy and as such she can be killed with little damage while dodging her shots. Boss kill also gives x2 XP of other enemies on the same field.

Note that friendly dolls killed to 0 HP during boss battles do not suffer affection penalty. Unless you need to fight with other enemies again after a boss fight, feel free to pour everything even with some of your dolls dying to kill bosses.

If you are taking too much damage and having a hard time killing her reliably, come back later when everyone in the squad are at least level 70 and has x4 links.

>>> 0-2 --- 80 ~ 100

0-2 is one of the two leveling routes in this page that lasts for more than one turn.

On turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and #1 at red circle.

Follow the red arrow to the blue circle.

Alternatively, you could try this route too:

Or, on turn zero, spawn #2 at purple circle and spawn #1 at red circle.

Follow the red arrow to the blue circle.

It is up to you on which route to choose. Some say the left route is harder while some say the right route is harder. It'll be different for everyone.

Technically you can still do a 1 turn clear of 0-2 by deploying two squads and having HQ squad rush to enemy headquarters but it's just measly 2 kills.

Enemy squads in 0-2 do not move at all and players are free to roam around as they please.

Power leveling routes usually do not involve going for an S rank clear as the conditions for them are often too resource intensive due to various reasons. That is not true with 0-2 as you just need 5 kills.

Coupled with how 0-2 also happens to have at least twice the user recorded rate of giving 3 star+ dolls that can be retired for cores than 4-3E, 0-2 is the first real stage that could be safely regarded as core heaven.

Unlike 0-4 below, 0-2 is roughly within the same recommended squad level bracket and does not involve squad retreat at all, making this a very nice place to run especially with the introduction of plan mode for maximum AFKness.

All but the middle Dragoon squad with yellow CE rating above friendly HQ within this route also happens to have a slim chance of dropping 4 star dolls.

>>> 0-4 --- 80 ~ 115

0-4 is the only stage of this list that will use retreat-leveling and requires auto-resupply option to be turned off (screenshot below).

If you don't mind losing small bits of resources discarded by #2 squad when you quit the level, skip the part that deals with resupplying.

After clicking the right button (background color with yellow is the one selected), proceed below.

On turn zero-

Spawn #2 at purple circle. Do not resupply #2 squad!

Spawn #1 at red circle, double click #1 squad and manually resupply them (screenshot below).

After making sure your squad is supplied, follow the arrow to blue circle.

You can experiment with other routes but it must always end with #1 arriving on a friendly helipad.

Once #1 arrives on occupied helipad, double click your #1 squad and retreat them (screenshot below).

Retreating your squad at either a helipad or at HQ will safely retrieve squad members without discarding all ammo and MRE.

After retreating #1, quit the field (screenshot below).

Warning: quitting or failing an active field will have all squads still on the field discard all ammo and MRE they were holding.

Players are allowed to retreat all but one squad deployed on the field.

Note that the yellow button on the left pauses your operation so you can come back later. You can use pauses three times per day.
